The Crazy Mountains: Part 10

The Crazy Mountains: Part 10

The tenth part of this series were from November 18 and 19 of 2019.  They were the last opportunities I had to view these beautiful mountains in 2019.

These photographs were taken on Monday, November 18, 2019.

My favorite spot on I-90. Mile marker 377. There is plenty of snow on those peaks but down in the valley it’s clear sailing.

This is at the first Big Timber exit. It’s about mile marker 370.
Crazy Peak.

Big Timber at The FORT. Crazy Peak is in the background.

The Crazies from the other side. This is from mile marker 31 on US Highway 89 to the west of the Crazy Mountains.
Although this shot does not include the Crazy Mountains, It does show where I pull over to take my photographs while traveling on US 89. The Four Diamond Ranch Road is to the right. That road traveling toward those mountains is US 89 and it is heading south toward I-90. Those mountains are the Absarokas and they are actually on the other side of the interstate, which is 31 miles away. If you looked to the right, you would see the Bridger Mountains, and to the left, are the Crazy Mountains. Where else could you stand and view three great mountain ranges?

These pictures are from Tuesday, November 19, 2019.

AND those are the Crazy Mountains, looking to the right, or east of US 89.

The statue named Thunder Jack is about six miles before you reach mile marker 31 on US 89. those are the Crazies behind him.

The Crazy Mountains, a few miles before the Thunder Jack statue, so somewhere around mile marker 20.
