The Crazy Mountains: Part 4

This starts my 2019 summer tour through the Montana and Wyoming mountains. It was a nice Sunday afternoon on May 12, when Doug and I set out to view the Mission Creek area south of I-90 past Big Timber. Doug had been doing some research online and we were looking for potential good aspen spots to view in the fall. Mission Creek Road, which I believe is at exit 43 south of I-90,  was our starting point for this day’s journey. Of course, to get there, we had to take I-90 west from Billings, and so we passed the Crazy Mountains. Me being me, and carrying a camera, I just naturally had to stop and take some photos.

From the rest area. As you can see, there is still a lot of snow on the Crazy Mountains.
From my favorite spot.

I never get tired of seeing the Crazy Mountains.
The Crazy Mountains from Big Timber. These shots were taken from the parking lot at The Fort!
I have seen several carved signs like this throughout Montana and Wyoming. It is a beautiful way to welcome a visitor to their city. This was at the second exit to Big Timber.

Crazy Peak, the tallest of the mountains in this stand-alone range.
